Saugatuck Harbor Natural Area in western Michigan is more than a pretty place. This 173-acre tract of stunning duneland along Lake Michigan features globally imperiled landscapes, rare plant and animal species and areas of historical significance. It is the site of the original mouth of the Kalamazoo River before it was bypassed in 1906 and it is the site of a fishing settlement known as Fishtown.

One of the largest bays along the Pacific Flyway, thousands and thousands of birds seek refuge and nesting on and near its waters.
