Saving Land Magazine
About Saving Land Magazine
In March 1982, a young organization launched its first newsletter — 16 pages that began with an introduction to the group “organized to serve as the catalyst and hub of a communications and mutual support network.” The Land Trust Exchange was born (predecessor to the Land Trust Alliance), and its newsletter, Exchange, covered the new field of private land conservation.
In 2008, Exchange morphed into Saving Land, the nation’s leading magazine written by and for land conservationists that is available quarterly to Land Trust Alliance members and partners. The 40-page color magazine offers stories, tips and resources on the latest trends in land conservation.

Read about the success of the Alliance's premier training event, Rally, which went virtual this year with more than 3,800 attendees. Another article explores how land trusts can engage with their newly elected congressional delegation. And a third shows how creating compelling videos can be a surprisingly inexpensive and easy way to boost the profile of your land trust. Read the latest issue here.
