Mid-Atlantic
The Mid-Atlantic’s six states and the District of Columbia are nestled between our New England and Southeast regions. While some of the Mid-Atlantic is densely populated, its 113 land trust members are protecting land in well-loved and nationally renowned landscapes including the Chesapeake and Delaware Bay watersheds, Atlantic Coast, Appalachian and Pocono Mountains,and the New Jersey Pine Barrens, along with urban parks and gardens in the metropolitan areas of Washington D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and other cities.

- Land trust services: We assist land trusts in a variety of ways through excellence programming and capacity building, leadership development, peer exchanges, trainings, mentoring, board development, Standards and Practices implementation, partnership development, community conservation, climate change solutions, and helping land trusts to improve their practices to better protect the local places people need and love.
- Chesapeake Bay Land and Water Initiative: Since 2016, the Alliance has partnered on a special initiative linking land conservation and water quality restoration in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Learn more here.
