Stewardship Manager, Boothbay Region Land Trust
The Stewardship Manager (SM) is a full-time, 40 hours per week, year-round position. Work scheduling can be flexible, but is generally Monday through Friday with some weekend and/or evening work required on occasion. The SM is responsible for monitoring and maintaining all properties and trails under BRLT management, ownership and conservation easement. He/she provides staff leadership to the Stewardship Committee, seasonal stewardship staff, and volunteers.
The SM interacts regularly with volunteers, landowners, supporters, partner agencies, and local governmental officials. Good humor, a collaborative spirit, and impeccable integrity are thus essential character traits. The SM is also an integral staff member in the office environment, assisting with other activities such as land acquisition, outreach, environmental education, special events, and fundraising.
