Senior Land Agent (Specialist), Wildlife Conservation Board
The Wildlife Conservation Board (WCB) is seeking a Senior Land Agent (Specialist) to deliver real property acquisition throughout California. The WCB was created by legislation in 1947 provide funding for wildlife conservation and related public recreation. Senior Land Agent will work with a highly motivated team to secure properties Statewide for the protection of habitat and to provide appropriate public access. This includes working closely with a variety of stakeholders throughout the state and attending meetings and site visits with applicants, property owners, and private contractors. Projects are approved by presenting land acquisition proposals to the WCB for consideration at quarterly meetings. Many WCB projects involve special status species, iconic landscapes, and economically important natural resources. It is the role of the Senior Land Agent to steward these projects though the State's acquisition process and provide acquisition support to the CDFW's mission of resource management, protection and public enjoyment.
