Land Conservation Specialist, Tar River Land Conservancy
The Land Conservation Specialist will work closely with other Tar River Land Conservancy staff members to cultivate, track, manage, and complete land protection projects, including conservation easements and fee simple acquisitions. The Land Conservation Specialist will also serve as the lead in writing, editing, and updating land management plans for properties owned in fee simple by TRLC. The Land Conservation Specialist will be based at TRLC’s office in Louisburg, but will travel across TRLC’s eight-county region throughout the year to visit conservation properties and for meetings. The individual will spend approximately seven to ten days per month in the field, often working alone in rugged conditions.
