James W. Dow Summer Internship, Blue Hill Heritage Trust
Blue Hill Heritage Trust (BHHT) seeks an energetic conservation minded individual for our 2021 James W. Dow Summer program. S/he will have the opportunity to see all phases of the land trust world. From stewardship tasks involving conservation easement monitoring and fee land inspection, to trail building and maintenance. S/he will have the opportunity to learn about land transactions and the processes and procedures required to fulfill Land Trust Alliance Standards and Practices. The prospective individual will have the opportunity to work with our Development staff, in planning fundraising events and participate in Outreach Walk & Talk programming within the local community. Our Conservation Forest Manager will introduce you to forest stewardship practices and project funding. We anticipate the intern delving into each of the above for 2-3 weeks at a time, depending on your interest.
