Director of Land Conservation, Berkshire Natural Resources Council
Berkshire Natural Resources Council), in western Massachusetts, conserves land and provides access to the outdoors at over 55 nature reserves across our 32-town region. Since 1967, BNRC has been instrumental in the conservation of more than 100,000 acres, holds over 23,000 acres of land and conservation restrictions, and manages over 60 miles of trails. BNRC is seeking a senior-level land conservation professional to lead our Conservation team. The Director of Land Conservation both directly identifies, develops and manages conservation projects (fee acquisitions, conservation restrictions and agricultural preservation restrictions), and supervises a team of conservation professionals. The Director will: Collaborate: with other land trusts, towns, and agencies to develop landscape-scale conservation projects and identify opportunities to grow BNRC’s existing reserves.
