The Bender Melon Preserve Project Manager is a part-time, hourly position that will report to the Executive Director and work closely with MHLC staff, volunteers, and contractors. The Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to plan and implement projects on the preserve, ensuring plans meet defined milestones and adhere to contractual guidelines for project completion within a given timeframe and budget.
Colorado Open Lands (COL) is looking for a full time project manager with conservation easement experience to implement innovative groundwater-focused conservation easements in the Upper Rio Grande River Basin. The work of this position is concentrated in COL’s San Luis Valley priority landscape and is focused on conservation easements that support COL’s mission, including the development of groundwater-focused easements to support aquifer recovery and other community-driven projects that support the resources, agricultural heritage, and recreation opportunities of the San Luis Valley.
The Maryland Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation (MALPF) was created by the State of Maryland General Assembly in 1977. MALPF is deeply rooted in leading the charge in land preservation as part of a State-wide targeted goal to preserve 1,030,000 acres of farmland by 2030. We’re looking for someone with a background in agriculture preservation easements to join our team.
The Accreditation Specialist will work with staff and volunteers to assist MNA in preparing for LTA reaccreditation in 2024.
Location: Work will take place at the MNA Office in Okemos
Time Commitment: Part-time, hourly, temporary. Applicants should be available 15-20 hours/week
Duration: August 2022 – December 2024. Start and end dates are flexible.
Compensation: $15-18/hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
The Forest Analyst will provide financial and analytical support for forestland acquisition, value creation and management. The Forest Analyst will serve as a technical resource for the WFF team in evaluating the financial viability of forest carbon offset projects, forest management, forest operations and associated conservation outcomes. The position will provide quantitative and qualitative analysis to support acquisitions, dispositions, conservation impact, and management of an existing +/- 500,000-acre portfolio of timberland.
This position includes program management and oversight of RCP’s day-to-day operations in North Carolina, including, but not limited to, staff supervision, service delivery, small grant oversight, cultivation of resources, elevation of program profile, and other activities as assigned.
The Milwaukee Project Coordinator is a key part of the team that includes the Milwaukee Program Director and the Milwaukee Program Associate, to implement the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District’s (MMSD) Greenseams® and Working Soils® programs. Greenseams® is a land acquisition program that protects hydric soils and connects publicly owned parcels of land along river corridors in a four-county area.
