Coastal County Snapshots

NOAA | Spatial Data Visualization Tool

Coastal County Snapshots turn complex data into easy-to-understand stories, complete with charts and graphs.  Users select a coastal county and snapshot of interest to get a quick look at the county's flood exposure, ocean jobs, or wetland benefits.  This information helps local planners and conservation organizations communicate the importance of conserving areas that reduce the impacts of flooding and aid in climate adaptation. Daily Earth
"This grand show is eternal. It is always sunrise somewhere; the dew is never all dried at once; a shower is forever falling; vapor is ever rising. Eternal sunrise, eternal sunset, eternal dawn and gloaming, on sea and continents and islands, each in its turn, as the round earth rolls."
- John Muir
