A cleaner and healthier New York

What does it take to develop a strong, inclusive network of conservation organizations? And what role should public funds play in building land trust capacity? In New York, we’re celebrating a successful collaboration with the state Department of Environmental Conservation that answers those questions.

Highlights of 2015

Thanks to you and your generous support, 2015 was the Land Trust Alliance’s most successful year yet. With a momentous victory on Capitol Hill, the Alliance has become a big player — despite its small size — in securing the vital resources necessary to make land conservation a success across the U.S.

Keeping a promise

Creating places for nature play

Children learn to love nature by playing in it. To nurture that connection, a number of land trusts have created nature play areas within their preserves.
