We're hiring!
Do you believe in the value of open spaces? Are you an excellent team player? Can you help us help 1,000 land trusts? If so, you may be the very person we need.
The Land Trust Alliance is filling three open positions, including government relations director and two regional gift officers.
Government Relations Director (see full description)
The director is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on manager. This person unifies her or his excellent skills in communications, public affairs and policy to enhance the Alliance's reputation as a nonpartisan champion of land conservation. The director is responsible for supervising an interdisciplinary team consisting of subject matter experts, an advocacy and campaigns manager, and an administrative assistant. This role requires a history of accomplished leadership and exemplary team-building skills.
Regional Gift Officers, including one based in New England or New York and one based in Maryland, Virginia or Washington, D.C. (see full description)
The officer is a key player in the organization's strategic goal to increase the individual donor base of the Alliance, raising major gifts to support the services, activities and training available to land trusts and communities across the nation. One officer will be based in Maryland, Virginia or Washington, D.C.; a second officer will be based in New England or New York.
Applications are due June 9 for the government relations director position. The regional gift officer positions are open until filled. If you have any questions about either of these opportunities, feel free to contact me.
