We can all agree – 2020 has been a roller coaster none of us could imagine. Though we’ll be able to talk for years to come about what it was like to live through a global pandemic, we must not forget the positive contributions this year has brought. Check out 20 good things that have happened in land conservation in 2020.

Across the past couple weeks, we’ve celebrated the beautiful spaces that land trusts are saving in our #MyHappyPlace campaign on social media. We had 12 land trusts take over our Instagram account for the occasion and share some amazing photos and compelling stories that highlight their great work. 

During this pandemic, we have all seen beloved gatherings transformed into virtual experiences. While it's not the same, there are some advantages, including how easy it is to participate from anywhere!

As the world continues to react to coronavirus, many organizations, including the Land Trust Alliance, have transitioned employees to work from home. For me, the prospect of teleworking was exciting, but after just a few days I can say: This was not the dream I thought it would be.
