2014-15 New York State Conservation Partnership Program Grants

The Land Trust Alliance, with support from Governor Andrew Cuomo, Commissioner Joe Martens, and the New York State Legislature, is pleased to announce a twelfth round of competitive land trust grants through the New York State Conservation Partnership Program (NYSCPP). Grants are available in four categories to land trust's that meet the eligibility requirements: Capacity & Excellence Grants, Conservation Catalyst Grants, Professional Development (Staffing) Grants, and Transaction Grants.

In total, $1.8 million in funding from New York State’s Environmental Protection Fund will be awarded by the Alliance in spring 2015.  All final applications must be submitted by Monday, December 8th (by 5 p.m. Eastern time).

Getting Started

Regional Roundtables and Conference Calls

Land trusts interested in applying for a Conservation Partnership Program grant are encouraged to attend one of the regional roundtables.  Roundtables include an optional morning land trust site visit.   For locations, times, details and directions, please download the complete Regional Roundtable Schedule>>

In addition, we will host three informational calls for interested land trust applicants.

Thursday, September 11th (10:00 – 11:00 am) -- General overview and Q&A for all prospective applicants

Friday, September 12th (10:00 – 11:30 am) -- General overview and Q&A for land trusts interested in a Professional Development (Staffing) Grant.

Thursday, November 13th (10:00 – 11:30 am) -- General Q&A and overview for all NY land trusts.

Additional Resources

In addition to attending roundtables, conference calls, and reaching out to Land Trust Alliance staff, all interested Conservation Partnership Program applicants are encouraged to browse through rosters of previously funded grants and highlighted projects to get ideas about the types of grants that have been funded in the past.
