In a staffed organization, the distinction between governance and management is often blurred, leaving staff confused and boards bewildered. Too much board involvement can hamper staff work and lead to morale problems. Too little board involvement can leave staff paralyzed, uncertain about organizational priorities and direction. In this webinar, participants will learn the ideal division of labor between board and staff as well as communication strategies for making sure everyone knows his or her job. Specific tools to manage these relationships will be discussed, and examples of working through the challenges will be explored.
