Workshop on the Web

There has never been a lack of understanding about the importance of fundraising. But a commitment to do it? That’s another story. Board members play a vital role in supporting an effective fundraising program. That role too often is unclear and underdeveloped. Land trusts need specific strategies to clarify the best role for board members, and for getting them to step up and fill that role successfully. This session will focus on the best ways to engage board members in their designated roles, and to create mechanisms for accountability and follow-through. In addition, it will identify other ways that community leaders can be part of your fundraising team, and how land trusts can keep them engaged and motivated to help you raise money.
