Southern Indiana Land Trust Summit II

Sponored by The Land Trust Alliance and the Indiana Land Protection Alliance (ILPA)

Please join your land trust colleagues on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 9:00am-4:00pm at Bradford Woods in Martinsville, Indiana.  The meeting will take place in The Manor House at Bradford Woods.

This summit is part of the Indiana Land Trust Advancement Program, which is generously funded through a grant from the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust.  The content of this meeting reflects feedback that you gave us during the first summit in April 2009; we’ve tailored this meeting accordingly.

In the morning, we are offering two concurrent training seminars on Major Gifts Development and Invasive Species Management.  The afternoon will feature roundtable discussions that will focus on community engagement; legal issues such as IRS Form 990, violations and amendments; strategic land conservation and planning; and land trust collaborations with local, state and federal government partners.  In addition, you will have a chance to enter a lottery for a one-on-one consultation with David Allen of Development for Conservation LLC.  David has more than 25 years of experience assisting conservation organizations with fundraising and development.
