A Special Conference Call Session To Ask Your Pressing Legal Questions On

Non-profit Governance and the New Form 990 Requirements

Indiana Land Trusts are invited to join us:

Thursday, July 23, 2009
12:00pm - 1:00pm Eastern
(11:00am - 12:00pm Central)

Are you having a hard time staying on top of the knowledge you need to legally operate, solicit funds, and accept conservation easements and land?  Do you get butterflies in your stomach when you think about the new IRS governance guidelines and Form 990?  Please join Bill Weeks, Jeff Hyman, and Andrea Need from the Conservation Law Center on Tuesday, July 23, to ask your legal question about operating as a nonprofit in Indiana.

The Conservation Law Center is a non-profit organization established as a Midwest-based advocate for natural resource conservation. The Center provides free legal assistance to their non-profit or governmental clients by resolving organization and incorporation problems; drafting model legislation; advocating before administrative and judicial bodies for conservation of wildlife, ecological systems, and protected areas; and providing legal support for land conservation activities, including interpreting the law of conservation easements. Most of the Center's resources are dedicated to a joint venture with the Indiana University Maurer School of Law -- the Conservation Law Clinic. In the Clinic the Center's attorneys teach and supervise law students, who practice conservation advocacy on behalf of the Clinic's clients.
