Thank you for submitting a proposal for Rally 2013. The Alliance will be in touch about the status of your proposal April 15-19.
Why Serve As Rally Faculty?
Participants tell us that the #1 reason they attend Rally is for the educational courses. At Rally 2012 in Salt Lake City, faculty presented 325+ educational hours over a four-day period to 1,615 attendees (including nearly 524 First Timers)!
Rally would not be the success it is, year after year, without the generous help from our knowledgeable faculty. Thank you for giving your time and expertise to strengthen the work of land trusts throughout America. You are an invaluable resource.
New This Year
To help stretch your training dollars and resources, we have a new, invigorating, three-day conference format:
Day 1: Seminars and Field Trips
Day 2: Workshops
Day 3: Workshops and Featured Sessions
Training Formats
Seminars: 18 intensive trainings that delve into important issues in land conservation, taught by the top leaders in the field. Depending on the topic, these courses typically have a class size of 30-55 people for a more personalized learning experience. Seminars consist of daylong sessions that are seven to eight hours in length and half-day sessions that are four hours long. There is an additional fee to attend the seminars, and handouts are not posted on RallyNet or The Learning Center. Seminars are scheduled for Tuesday, September 17.
Workshops: Diverse topics taught by the experts! Workshops run concurrently within 16 specialized tracks and are scheduled for Wednesday, September 18 and Thursday, September 19. These trainings are 90 minutes in length and can have 10–200 people in attendance. Workshops are included in the basic registration fee, and handout materials are posted on RallyNet and The Learning Center for Alliance members to download.
Featured Sessions: High-level, interactive, peer group sessions with expert speaker panels, facilitated roundtables and moderated discussions, conducted on Thursday, September 19 from 1:30-5:00pm. These sessions can be 90 minutes to 3.5 hours in length. Session examples: Ask the Experts, Stewardship Roundtables, Rally Book Club Discussion and more! Featured Sessions are included in the basic registration fee, and handout materials are posted on RallyNet and The Learning Center for Alliance members to download.
