Previous Tax Incentive Co-sponsors Who Haven't Yet Signed-on in 2011

While we're thrilled to have 307 House and 20 Senate co-sponsors for legislation to make the enhanced easement incentive permanent, there are still 34 senators and 12 representatives who supported identical legislation in previous years but haven't yet agreed to co-sponsor H.R. 1964 or S. 339.

Please help us get these legislators back on board. It ought to be easy to call, thank them for their past support and urge them to sign-on in the new Congress. Simply call the capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121 or click here for detailed talking points and fact sheets:

  • Representatives can co-sponsor the Conservation Easement Incentive Act, H.R. 1964, by contacting Lori Prater (5-4315) in Rep. Gerlach's office or Carla McNiell (5-3311) in Rep. Thompson's office.
  • Senators can co-sponsor S. 339, introduced by Senators Max Baucus (D-MT) and Charles Grassley (R-IA) by calling Tiffany Smith (4-4515) at the Senate Finance Committee.
