Land Trusts Save Land
A group of land trusts and the Alliance had a unique opportunity to share information about land conservation and the work of land trusts with millions of people through a Public Service Announcement (PSA).
The 15-second PSA will run hourly, 18 hours per day, from November 18 through December 31 on the CBS big screen on the north side of 42nd Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues in the heart of the Times Square Plaza, “The Gateway to New York City.” Over the 43-day period, the spot will run a minimum of 774 times; 1.5 million people view the screen every day.
The “Land gives . . .” campaign directs people to a special website: www.Give2Land.org, where they can read about how land trusts save land that provides benefits to their communities like food, nature, health and water. Viewers can donate to the local land trusts listed, or if they are visiting, click to find a land trust operating close to their home.
