The webinar will explore Trout Unlimited’s “Protect, Restore, Reconnect and Sustain” strategy of watershed sustainability. Driven by the organization’s Conservation Success Index, TU is working on watershed-based approaches that engage a variety of partners including land trusts. Particular attention will be given to efforts to increase species resilience in a changing climate by insuring in-stream flows and protected riparian habitat. Presenters will also provide an overview of the Coldwater Land Conservancy Fund, which provides grants to land trusts and state agencies to permanently protect priority streams and watersheds throughout North America.
