New York State Conservation Partnership Program 2008-2009
The Land Trust Alliance invites New York's land trusts to submit applications for the 2008-09 round of land trust grants under the New York State Conservation Partnership Program. These grants represent the seventh round of funding from this pioneering program, which is administered by the Land Trust Alliance in coordination with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
If your land trust has received competitive funding from the Alliance in recent years, now is the time to leverage that work and envision additional projects that will advance your conservation mission and programs.
If your land trust has not applied for funding in the past, we strongly encourage you to learn more about this funding opportunity. The Alliance encourages all first-time applicants to contact our staff and attend one of the regional Roundtables (see below for details).
Either way, there has never been a better time to evaluate your land trust's strategic funding needs - this is a truly historic opportunity for New York's land trust community!
Grants can help your land trust prepare for accreditation and make investments that will build professional capacity, strengthen community partnerships, accelerate the pace of land conservation, and enable implementation of best business practices (Land Trust Standards & Practices). All eligible New York land trust organizations, including non-Alliance member land trusts, are invited to apply.
A complete set of the 2008-09 NYSCPP grant guidelines and application forms will be mailed to New York land trusts in early August. Click here to view the media advisory.
