Climate Ready Estuaries (CRE) Program | EPA
The Climate Ready Estuaries program works with the National Estuary Programs (NEP) to: 1) assess climate change vulnerabilities, 2) develop and implement adaptation strategies, 3) engage and educate stakeholders, and 4) share the lessons learned with other coastal managers. Through the diverse network of partners collaborating with each NEP, a number of entities can be involved in these projects to build resiliency toward future climate change.
Coastal Program | USFWS
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Coastal Program is a non-regulatory program that provides technical and financial assistance to landowners and coastal communities to restore or protect fish and wildlife habitat on public and private lands. This Program partners with other Federal, State, local, and non-governmental partners and private landowners to conserve and restore coastal habitat for the benefit of Service trust species. The Coastal Program is delivered through a network of locally-based field staff in 23 priority coastal areas around the country.
Joint Ventures | USFWS
Using a cooperative, science-based business model, Joint Venture partnerships tackle the most pressing issues facing wildlife managers and conservationists today, including immediate and future threats from global climate change. Joint Ventures partner within existing bird conservation initiatives and state wildlife action plans, to achieve efficiency, coordination and results.
Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program | USFWS
The Partners Program is a voluntary habitat conservation program that provides technical and financial assistance to private landowners and other private and public entities for habitat improvement projects to benefit federal trust species.
Smart Growth Technical Assistance | EPA
The EPA Smart Growth program offers a variety of technical assistance programs and tools to help communities learn about and implement smart growth. Several of these are available to communities implementing policies to address climate change.
