Honoring Steve Small

Steve Small, a leading authority on private land protection, received the Kingsbury Browne Conservation Leadership Award during Rally 2015. As the originating author of the federal Income Tax Regulations on Conservation Easements, Small set a national standard for donations he continues to facilitate to this day.

Saving Camp Francis

Kent Land Trust received a National Land Trust Excellence Award at Rally 2015. By collaborating with local supporters, Kent Land Trust helped make land conservation a community priority. Its crowning achievement was the timely preservation of Camp Francis, a decommissioned Girl Scouts campground.

Ambassador of the Year: Alicia Reban

For nearly 20 years Alicia Reban has been dedicated to preserving Nevada’s open spaces. As executive director of the Nevada Land Trust, Alicia took the Land Trust Alliance Ambassador pledge at a time when her state’s senior senator, U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, was majority leader.
