Thirty years ago, land trusts joined forces to found the Land Trust Alliance. We’ve come a long way since 1982. America’s 1,700 land trusts now have 12,000 staff, 15,000 board members and 5 million members from every walk of life. Together, we have protected more than 47 million acres.
