About the New York Program
The Land Trust Alliance Northeast Office functions as the land trust service center for New York's land trust community. Guided by the New York Advisory Board, the Alliance's New York program provides funding for New York land trusts through the New York State Conservation Partnership Program, offers training opportunities for land trust boards and staff, and advocates for conservation incentives and funding in the state capital.
What's New
Announcing the 2011-12 New York State Conservation Partnership Grants Program
The Land Trust Alliance, with support from Governor Cuomo, Commissioner Martens, and the New York State Legislature, is pleased to announce a ninth round of competative land trust grants under the New York State Conservation Partnership Program (NYSCPP). This pioneering public-private partnership is administered by the Alliance, in coordination with the state Department of Environmental Conservation.
Approximately $1.4 million in funding from New York State's Environmental Protection Fund (EPF) will be awarded by the Alliance in spring 2012. The Conservation Partnership Program grants are available in four categories: Capacity & Excellence Grants, Conservation Catalyst Grants, Professional Development (Staffing) Grants, and Transaction Grants.
Save the Date: 2011 New York State Conservation Partnership Program Land Trust Roundtables
This Fall, the Land Trust Alliance will host five (5) roundtables across New York State. All staff, board members, and volunteers of land trusts interested in applying for a New York State Conservation Partnership Program Grant for 2011-12, are encouraged to attend the roundtable, as well as those interested in getting updates on national and state policy, or the Land Trust Alliance’s national and regional initiatives.

Funding for Land Trusts
