Powerful Friends Reintroduce Tax Incentive Bill
Senate Finance Committee chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) and ranking Republican Orrin Hatch (R-UT) have introduced the Rural Heritage Conservation Extension Act, S 526, to make the enhanced easement incentive permanent. Will your Senators co-sponsor?

The fiscal cliff deal renewed the enhanced easement incentive for 2012 and 2013, extended the farm bill, and mostly spared the charitable deduction. But threats persist, as illustrated by Alliance president Rand Wentworth's recent testimony at a Congressional hearing on the charitable deduction.
